Field trip to Granite

The
Rangers of Outpost 209 took a field trip to Granite Arch Climbing Center
in Rancho Cordova an indoor climbing arena for simulated rock climbing.

On
this page you will find the snapshots taken at that trip.
The adults had to take training on how to "belay" or counter balance
the climbers.
The climbers cannot fall
during a climb with a "belayer in control of their safety rope.
After taking the training course we were certified to help the
climbers. As you can see in the pictures, all of the climbers had a
good time. We hope to return again some day.
